For many small organisations the idea of fundraising online has always been a little bit hit and miss- Online selling has been far too technical and 'click here to donate' didn't get clicked much.

This month I want you to consider yourself an absolute internet newcomer. What if I told you that online selling is now the most efficient and effective way to generate  reliable income streams ?

I'll start off by telling you how much the project is going to cost - that way there are no nasty surprises.

For an online store you should expect a web developer to spend 5-6 full days working for you. This should include a day to get a grasp of what it is you want to achieve, a couple of days sorting out the build- a couple of days training and a day here and there just to fix glitches and tidy up.  For this you should expect to pay £1500.

Does your organisation run training events or conferences? Why not  use your online store to take bookings- Delegates can use your store to book, pay and best of all receive all the necessary documentation i(joining instructions, reading material ) immediately via email-

So now you've sold 75 courses on the internet all of which were going to receive a 10 page brochure, a covering letter in a nice jiffy bag wiith a stamp costing you £1.10 to post to them.   £ 200 SAVED!

You've also saved the following -

1. 3 Hours  at the photocopier- and a lot of trees
2. Embarrassment as a delegate turns up who isn't on the list 
3. The enthusiasm of a volunteer who gets disheartened stuffing envelopes.

Are there gains to be had here also? Certainly-  By choosing to be paid by payment card the income for the event will already be in your account before you have to worry about event expenditure- Of course should you wish to raise invoices in the normal way that's possible too.

But what about the normal stuff?
